Dr. Goodman Competes in 42nd Annual Swix American Birkebeiner

Dr. Laird Goodman recently completed the 42nd Annual Swix American Birkebeiner to raise funds for Pet Partners. The Birkebeiner is a 51 K skate ski race from Cable to Hayward Wisconsin. It is North America’s largest cross-country ski marathon and attracts over 10,000 skiers. Dr. Goodman raised $5000 for Pet Partners. Pet Partners (formerly Delta Society) is a leader in promoting the human-animal bond – most notably in promoting the healing power of pets! Pet Partners provides training and support to over 11,000 therapy teams – teams of people with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, birds, and other domesticated pets. These teams bring comfort, joy and motivation to hospitalized patients, lonely seniors in nursing homes, patients in hospice care, children learning to read, and so much more.
